Lunar Lacuna

Stranded on a bizzare alien planet, you must travel across the world fending off the local beasts and discovering some ominous secrets. This retro-styled platformer has plenty of hazards and challenges, alongside lots of secrets, easter eggs and hidden mechanics!

This is a demo of my first game, made for the MindJam GameJam. I've been learning coding in my MindJam sessions, and I can't wait for everyone to check out the demo of what we've made over the past couple of years. I hope you like it!

New in demo 6:

World 5 is now complete!

Explore the swamp, featuring a gorgeous new tileset, interesting new enemy and level types, as well as the most advanced boss we've made so far.

Auditory explosion!

All enemies now feature sound effects, bringing the whole game to life in a whole new way.  Volume options for music and SFX are also now available in the pause menu.

Take full control!

Added full controller support! Currently tested with Switch Pro and Xbox One controllers.

Refinement and improvements!

We went through and squashed a lot of bugs from the first 4 worlds, as well as lots of stability and performance enhancements.
We also redesigned some older levels to bring them more in line with the design improvements found in newer worlds.
We've newly animated backgrounds throughout all worlds.
Finally, you can begin your game at each world from the title screen.
